Badminton Fever Part 3 - Prize Ceremony

The situation was funny and “liun sui” (messy). All the winners wear eager to get a glimpse of their prize money and trophies. The guys were teasing and asked the girls why they never dress up for the prize giving ceremony and Shirley retorted that she forgot to bring her night gown. Then Desmond added that she should just go Sg. Wang to “set up” her hair. Incidentally the winners of the Women’s doubles (from another department) were actually in full make up when they were playing last Saturday, so we really wondered if they really did go to the salon before going for the prize giving ceremony haha. (Hello, this is a sports prize giving ceremony, not your high school prom, ok?…. hahaha)

All the winners were totally excited (almost drooling!) when they saw their prizes. I don’t blame them old folks, as the last prize giving ceremony which they have been to was their junior high sports day or probably their kid’s school sports event. So you can imagine how long it has been …

In all his excitement to receive the final and most prestigious prize for the morning, the champion trophy for the Men’s Singles category, Sam dropped his Men’s doubles trophy which he had received just minutes before. Watch the video to see the commotion which he caused with his funny antics. Who would have thought something as hilarious as this would happen on a mundane prize giving ceremony?
